Summary:
The User Experience Designer - Sports will drive user experience throughout the entire product life-cycle. This position will be responsible for the user experience for the Watercooler sports products across Facebook, MySpace, Bebo, Friendster, Orkut, Hi5, and the web. They will work closely with the Product Manager to execute compelling, engaging, and usable experiences.

1. Very familiar with the current social networking landscape and passionate about building cutting-edge services on social networking platforms and the web.
2. Thirsty for the chance to build something great in a small but rapidly growing start-up environment.
3. Experience in transforming and executing white-board brainstorms into mocks and specs
4. Familiarity with American and international sports and their fan communities
Responsibilities:
1. Drive the User Experience for Sports across platforms in the rapidly changing social networking space.
2. Improve and optimize existing designs in the sports community and gaming product lines, and launch new products.
3. Execute the product design and release process: working with the product manager and spec new products, get the appropriate artwork, and with engineering to release.
4. Work closely with the product manager and design team to enfold marketing and viral channels in the user experience
5. Work with media partners to execute designs that fold into the Sports Products
Requirements:
1. 1-3 years of professional experience at successful Internet companies in a product design role
2. “Gets” working in an early stage start-up environment
3. Strong design skills. Have strong knowledge of the UCD method, but also not wedded to it.
4. Quickly mock designs and spec interaction in an accurate and efficient manner.
5. Working knowledge of Illustrator and Photoshop
6. Ability to execute and adapt quickly and think creatively in given constraints.
7. Visual design skills a plus, but not necessary
8. Academic background from a top-tier university
