BigDates Solutions, the creator of Birthday Calendar, is seeking an energetic Software Engineer with LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP) experience who is a self-starter, team player and wants to be part of a growing environment. BigDates Solutions is a growing, e-commerce, internet services company that is expanding its presence in social network environments. Its current project plan includes adding features and sister applications to its current Facebook application, as well as leveraging these applications across multiple social networks. Therefore, a candidate who has a very high understanding of social network environments as a user and/or programmer will have an advantage for this position.

Position Responsibilities:

• Work with team to develop features/sister applications for current Facebook application
• Monitor and improve performance of applications
• Assist with development on various social network platforms
• Research and monitor developments within social network platforms

Qualifications:

• Experience with PHP
• Experience with Linux and Apache
• Experience with JavaScript/AJAX
• Experience with MySQL and relational databases
• HTML fluency
• Understanding how high volume and a load-balanced environment can affect coding approach
• Self-motivated problem solver
• Good written and oral communication skills

Bonus Qualifications:

• Experience with PERL
• Experience with XML
• Experience with Facebook API or other social networking API’s (FBML)
