We are looking for experienced software engineers to join our small but rapidly growing team. We are a small company so here’s your chance to make a big impact. Your software will be used by millions of people every day.

The position is a full-time telecommuting position; preference will be given to Boston, MA, US candidates.

You should have expertise developing server software in Python or in one or more of the following languages: Ruby, PHP, Erlang, C or C++.  Comfort with asynchronous network programming and distributed systems preferred.

Responsibilities: 

• You will be working daily in Python with some occasional C++ and PHP.
• Design and implement extremely high-volume, fault-tolerant, scalable server systems.
• Develop reusable tools for managing and manipulating terabyte scale data using Hadoop, Hypertable and other distributed processing systems.

Requirements:

• BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent (PhD a plus).
• Extensive experience developing with Python, PHP or Ruby.
• Expert knowledge developing and debugging on Unix/Linux systems.
• Knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
