The idea is simple: Unify the industry leaders, monetize the application universe and provide solutions for advertisers.

Opportunities/Responsibilities:

Appssavvy’s Senior Application Development Specialist will develop custom social media applications using core and emerging technologies, as well as provide consulting services to Appssavvy’s extensive network of application development partners. Appssavvy provides custom application development services to large advertising clients, for which this role will be accountable. Appssavvy also represents hundreds of the most significant existing social media applications through its vast direct advertising sales team.

The Senior Application Development Specialist will report directly to the MIS Director, and will have a high comfort level working with both onshore and offshore technical resources.

Qualifications:

- Experience with all phases of the development lifecycle with focus on design and build
- Extensive understanding of social media application architectures
- Proven and successful web application development experience within the social media space (Facebook preferred)
- Working expertise with PHP / JavaScript / Cookie Management / CSS / MySQL / AJAX
- Familiarity with social media platform APIs (FBML / FBJS / OpenSocial 0.7)
- Strong object oriented design skills
- The ability to build and sustain partner relationships within the social media development community
- Hands on experience managing web analytics programs, with focus on metric development and tracking for application process funnel engagement
- Experience with large-scale web infrastructures (distributed N-tier web architectures)
- Have working understanding of social platform’s “viral channels” and distribution methods

Preferences:

- BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent
- Multiple examples of Facebook application development experience
- Enthusiasm for understanding and influencing the social media community
- Experience with developing for targeted ad serving opportunities
- Excellent communication and organization skills
- Ability to develop repeatable routines and standards
- Desire to work in a collaborative and team-oriented startup environment
- Working experience with Flash / Flex development
