We are looking for a Sr. Front End Developer who has proven experience building complex front-end websites, click tracking/management, and other sophisticated UI. This is not necessarily a “design heavy” job, a strong development background is desired.

Sometrics is an analytics provider focused on the social web - social networks and applications (Facebook, MySpace, Bebo, Hi5, and Friendster). We are a well funded company located in Los Angeles that is developing great technology. Dress is casual and we are located directly next to the Metro hub in downtown Los Angeles. This position requires that you be a self-starter, have the ability to multi-task projects, rapidly adapt to and learn new technologies, and be flexible to a changing environment.

Javascript, DOM, Cross Browser Issues, HTML/CSS, REST/JSON interfaces, OOP, Front-End Data Structures, Cookie Management,

Requirements

* 5+ years experience developing web applications (in any languages / platforms)
* Expert knowledge of JavaScript technologies (ECMA/JavaScript/JScript/DHTML)
* Expert knowledge of Javascrtipt DOM
* Expert knowledge of XHTML and CSS
* Experience with cross-browser compatibility is a must
* Expert knowledge of AJAX techniques and AJAX libraries / frameworks
* Understanding of usability testing, and coding for testing hooks
* Experience with server-side code such as PHP
* Experience with templating engines such as Smarty is a plus
* UNIX/Linux experience desired
* Good working knowledge of Apache
* Working knowledge of Subversion, Bug Tracking Tools.
