Who are we?

Viximo is the mullet of startups: 15 engineers working hard in the front and a 5 person art party in the back. We love Ruby and/on Rails. We make jokes about object-oriented girlfriends and grill out occasionally. We use OS X, XP and Ubuntu. We salsa dance, play fantasy football , organize croquet societies, race cars across frozen ponds and wear ponchos…all while Twittering. Our conference rooms are named after Lost hatches and our fridge is stocked with Snapple and PBR.

We started humbly as a few guys in Cambridge’s tech co-working space, Betahouse. One day we had a naming party (we almost ended up named after a bacteria), hired 20 more folks and moved into an old recording studio in Davis Square. We’re funded by Sigma Partners and North Bridge Venture Partners.

Responsibilities:

• Own one of our products from concept to delivery
• Manage product roadmaps and prioritize new features and projects
• Work with engineering and design teams to direct prioritization of work and maintain a high level of quality in the user experience
• Play good music on the office stereo system

Skills/Experience

• 2+ years of product management for an online property (project management does not apply)
• You should be able to absorb information from users, industry trends, competitors, business needs, and intuition to make key decisions in how our products evolve.
• You muse have a strong sense of user experience and be able to guide engineering and design teams in developing product features.
• The ability to analyze the competitive landscape, research and gather user needs, and stay current on industry trends.
• You must be a creative thinker - able to design innovative solutions to challenging business or user needs.
• The ability to produce PRDs, wireframes, flows, and other documents needed to communicate product requirements
• A solid understanding of internet technologies
• Desire to work in a fun, laid back, hard working environment
