Facebook tests new ‘Suggested Pages’ page, ‘Get Likes’ prompts
Facebook is giving a fresh look to the Suggested Pages page, and is also trying some new prompts to get page admins to buy ads aimed at getting more likes.
Inside Facebook reader Matteo Gamba of Wimdu noticed these new designs.
Previously (and currently for many users), the Suggested Pages page looks like this:
For Gamba, however, the Suggested Pages page is much more visual:
Facebook has been working on making content — especially photo content — pop more around the site. This format is much more encouraging and attractive to users.
Facebook is also ramping up its page admin dashboard prompts to purchase advertising to boost the fanbase. Gamba noticed that three modules on the admin dashboard were dedicated to boosting page content for likes:
