Smirnoff, Grey Goose and Pinnacle are top PTAT gainers among wine and spirit pages

Smirnoff is this week’s top gainer for the People Talking About This metric among wine and spirit pages. The brand has received over 1.5 million engagements among its 30 different region-specific pages. However, this global total excludes Smirnoff’s U.S. region page which is the number 12 on this week’s list.

The top 10 wines and spirits pages saw PTAT growth between 21,336 and 1,567,860 engagements. We compile this list with our PageData tool, which tracks page growth across Facebook.

No. 2 on the list, Grey Goose, could benefit from Smirnoff’s strategy in adopting global pages. The page has over 1.3 million page Likes, but not nearly as much engagement as Smirnoff. When searching Facebook, there are multiple region pages for the Grey Goose brand. It is likely these pages will be merged in the near future.

Across these wine and spirit pages, the most engaging posts tend to be pictures of drinks and drink recipes rather than pictures of celebrities. Both Smirnoff and Grey Goose use photos to highlight their products rather than using text to engage their audiences. Engagement on the Grey Goose page fluctuates frequently so it is likely that the brand may be promoting certain posts for increased engagement.

As for some of the other top ten pages, Pinnacle Vodka uses drink recipes to earn large engagementJägermeister USA could use global pages as well to combine page likes and PTAT with its other page at No. 8 on this week’s list. Jack Daniel’s has used comedic, holiday-themed page posts to earn most of its engagement this week.
