Facebook hires Apple UI design manager, among two dozen other positions this week
Facebook hired former Apple UI design manager Chris Weeldreyer to be product design manager, according to LinkedIn and Weeldryer’s Facebook Timeline. Weeldreyer had worked for Apple for eight years.
He appears to have been recruited by Facebook since we have no record of the company having an public job listing for the position. [Update 6/22/12 5:23 p.m. - The Next Web found a listing for Product Design Manager on Facebook's Careers site. Although we regularly track additions to the site, we don't have record of when this position was added. It has not yet been removed, so the company might be looking to hire a similar role focused on a different area. TechCrunch learned that Weeldreyer will be working with the mobile team.]
