I don't see any place to remove the friends list from my profile. I only see that I can make it unavailable to "everyone" and that "Your Friend List is always visible to you and your friends."

Friend lists can be viewed by users using the facebook iphone app. I.e. if i have unselected show friends on my profile, my friend lists are hidden if my friends check my profile on a browser (internet explorer, firefox) but if my friends check my profile using the facebook iphone app, my friends will show up.

What's really annoying is that the settings don't even work.

There is absolutely NO way to hide your friend list from being public information.

Try this: Log out of Facebook. Search for yourself using Google or something, or just go to your Facebook profile page. Voila, there's a random sampling of your friends. Reload to get a different sampling.

Facebook considers your Friend List to be public information, and offers you absolutely no way to keep it private at all.
