Sprout, which already offers an all-in-one Facebook marketing solution for companies, has made it a little easier for any fan page administrator to connect with his or her brand’s followers, with the release of Sprout Publisher. The new application offers page administrators a way to create coupons, event notices, news flashes and more directly from the Facebook page. The interactive content can then be published into fans’ news feeds, where they’ll be able to see and spread it without having to add an application.

The use of templates and elements of personalization makes the tools especially useful for small businesses or those who don’t have much time to devote to their fan page. The final product still has a polished look, and the fact that there are no applications for fans to add will make them more receptive to opening and sharing the content.
Individuals can also use Sprout Publisher to create content for their personal pages. There’s currently only one available template for a Road Trip announcement, but it appears as if more are coming soon. It’s easy to add personal photos and music to create a fun way to spread word about your upcoming excursions.
Sprout also offers fee-based custom applications for businesses that would like added functionality and features. An example of what can be accomplished is the “Gift An Alien” app promoting the 3-D release of Disney/Pixar’s Toy Story and Toy Story 2.
