Great post Seth. I'm particularly interested by your views on social ads.

However, I'm pretty certain that the advertisers who stand to benefit the most from social advertising are entertainment brands that generally comply with a social activity. Therefore, sports teams, movies and music are always going to be more popular the consumer brands.

Those consumer brands that contribute to social activity - beer, aftershave, things that make you look good, are therefore more likely to be the biggest hitters.

"Advertisers must learn to leverage the social graph just like the best social media properties do. This is the critically important, but subtle, step required to move from advertising in social media to social media advertising."

This is a great takeaway. Thank you for your thoughtful analysis. It's an exciting time indeed.
