Facebook Updates App Settings Editor for Developers
December 2nd, 2008
Facebook’s application settings editor has grown from a few fields when the Facebook Platform first launched back in May 2007 to dozens of fields today. Tonight, the Facebook Platform team said that it will be releasing an updated version of the editor soon that will make it much easier for developers to manage their app settings.

New features include:
- Grouping similar features together under relevant tabs and headings.
- Simplifying the settings for who can use your application (Users and Facebook Pages each have one check box; there is no longer an option to limit Pages use to specific categories).
- Renaming Developer Mode to Sandbox Mode.
Facebook says it will also be updating the editor with more feed, translation, and data store features in the near future. What kind of features do you think most need to be added?
