Facebook to Locate International HQ in Dublin, Ireland
Mary Coughlin, Ireland’s Minister of Trade, announced this morning that Facebook will be establishing its “international headquarters” in Dublin, the Irish Times reports.
The Dublin headquarters will house Facebook’s international technical, sales, and operations units serving users across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. US Internet giants Google, Yahoo, and eBay have also chosen to locate offices in Dublin due to Ireland’s friendly stance toward companies looking to expand internationally.
“We looked at a number of different locations and ultimately decided that Dublin was the best pick for a couple of different reasons,” Don Faul, Facebook’s chief of online operations told the Irish Times . “One is that it has got a really strong, multi-lingual talent pool which will really help us grow and scale and ultimately get closer to our users, advertisers and developers in the region.
As Facebook expands in Europe, it is also building operations in Asia. Recently posted BD jobs in Hong Kong and Mumbai show that the company is increasing its efforts across the continent

Having forgotten my password, I applied through facebook login page to have it retrieved. I received an email asking me to reply in order to confirm my email address and then to wait to be reminded of my password.
I have now waited for several days and received nothing.
I realise that this is probably not the correct place in which to make this appeal, but I can’t find any other way of reaching facebook directly.
Please email my password to the above address so that I can continue to use this means of contacting people.
Many thanks,
Eileen Herlihy
