Google Insights for Search Shows Facebook’s Regional Popularity
August 8th, 2008
Google launched a new service for marketers today called Insights for Search. It’s basically a powerful spinoff of Google Trends, and shows search volume patterns across different regions, time frames, and categories.
Using Insights for Search gives more data on search volume for “Facebook” across different geographies and times, which is arguably a good indicator of relative engagement and growth. Here’s what Google’s data shows:
1. Search volume over time - searches for Facebook more than doubled in 2007, and have already doubled in 2008 YTD again.
2. Global search volume - regional search density for Facebook is highest in Turkey, Canada, the UK, South Africa, and Colombia, which may be surprising (see more data on Facebook’s international growth in 2008 here).
3. US search volume - US interest in Facebook is highest in Arkansas, New York, Massachusetts, and Connecticut.

is its growing but it seems that FB has forgot about their business partners because it seems that its garder for brands now to use facebook for marketing usage.
We work hard at http://www.tradimax.com with facebook marketing stuff but it seems that many Biz people are out of facebook because they still think that Google adwords are doing a better job!
