Facebook has eclipsed MySpace in global reach in April, according to comScore metrics published by TechCrunch.
Facebook has experienced massive international growth over the past year, adding over 62 million uniques, only 13 million of which were within the United States. The Translations app has led to dozens of crowd-sourced versions of the site, many of which have been released to Facebook’s entire userbase.
While Facebook claims 80 million active users (defined as having logged into the site within the last month), comScore measured 100 million total unique visitors in April. Meanwhile, MySpace continues to be the most trafficked site in the US, capturing 12% of all US online minutes.
