Facebook Testing Feedback on Social Ads

facebook ad ratingsFacebook has begun testing user feedback for Social Ads, presumably to provide better feedback for ad targeting.

Some users are seeing different versions of the feedback UI – the screenshot at right shows a dialog box where users can rate ads as “Misleading,” “Offensive,” “Pornographic,” “Unintersting,” “Irrelevant,” or “Repetitive.” One would imagine that Social Ads which incorporate user endorsements get better ratings than the ever present “Meet Hot Singles In Your Area” flyers.

Other startups like Adpinion provide similar services for advertisers and publishers hoping to achieve better ad targeting through explicit user feedback.
