The 25 Most Popular Pages on Facebook
|

So here’s the list of the 25 Most Popular Pages on Facebook. The results?
- Amy Winehouse has more fans than John McCain. And so does Nutella.
- There’s no stopping Barack. He has twice as many fans as anyone or anything else.
- Pages are all about the music. 40% of the top 25 are bands.
- Some brands have made a big splash.

What Nutella didn’t beat Hillary? No seriously, Obama being on top of that list shows, that Facebook profiles and groups are not just about fun and entertainment, but more grown up topics (like politics) as well.

What this is lacking is a correlation to their presence on Facebook before becoming a Page. For example, Pink by Victoria’s Secret was one of the first brands to make it big as a group. I’d say that attributes to their success. Likewise you can’t deny that having the first fast growing group of One Million Strong didn’t help Obama.

Well, Michael Jackson has just destroyed this list. At this very point in time his fans amount to a sum greater than 7.5 million, increasing at a rate of around 100-300 people every ten seconds, seeming unlikely that it will show signs of slowing within the near future.

Ok… here’s something I have to say. If you have a facebook (this is going out to anyone who reads this) then search for “Official Avatar Movie” without the quotes. It has over 1,000,000 fans. So obviously Barack Obama is not the most liked thing on facebook. Neither is Texas Hold ‘Em. Whoever made this really needs to update it. I am not trying to be rude but I am a very big fan of the movie Avatar. If this came across to anyone as obnoxious or anything of the sort, I apoligize to you,
