		<description>My guess is that once you have a good replication scheme it&#039;s all about replacing failing hardware and not so much about actually doing the DBA work.

		<description>Sounds good;  but it&#039;s not how many instances, but how many tables, models, columns. 
my guess is that they&#039;ve kept it pretty simple and can easily use automation to scale out across that number of instances.</description>
