Re: Friend-of-friend feeds ["Given the small community at this point, it results in lots of very weak friend-of-friend connections and frankly, spam"].. can this feature by disabled? can users specify the number of degrees of separation?

I've been using friendfeed for a bit now, and while I generally like the more filtered method for sharing content (i.e. includes only friends also registered with friendfeed), i feel like the service supplements content with friend-of-friend feeds. Given the small community at this point, it results in lots of very weak friend-of-friend connections and frankly, spam.

In addition, friendfeed may think of incorporating feeds from friends who are not registered users (a la spokeo)...this type of content discovery (e.g., didn't even know friend Y had this blog!) can be much more viral and sticky

Nice interview Justin.

Interesting to hear that FF users don't see FB as a competing platform.
