10% of Facebook employees came from Google
Since there’s been a lot of press lately about Googlers jumping ship for Facebook, I thought I’d search Facebook’s network to see how many folks at the company used to work at Google. As it turns out, over 40, or almost 10% – and mostly engineering or product people.

Facebook must have something impressive planned, they certainly are gathering a lot of brainpower. But Google is still so much more than just a social network.

The big question is also how many people did they get who would have gone to Google.

The other big question: how many people at google turned down jobs at facebook? From my sources inside google, about one in three “googlers” who gets a facebook offer accepts. Definitely not a scientific survey, but it is something to consider. More than how many people go, it would be great to know how many people do not go from google to facebook when they have an offer.

Agreed. Most of these were temps/interns/operations/sales.
I only see a handful of actual full-time software engineers.
