That is a great post. I am sure with these API’s a lot of advertisers will be taking advantage of Facebook now a great marketing tool.

These profiles seem to me to act as repositories for both news and events related to a brand, and a host of apps and products the brand wants to promote. It would be good to see what the relationship with “Fans” is. For example, is there additional weight given to news feeds generated by the brand profile for the people who are in the Fans list?

Good follow up. So there are four main API calls for Pages.

* Pages.getInfo
* Pages.isAdmin
* Pages.isAppAdded
* Pages.isFan

I think you are right. It looks like a glorified group. I’m going to look into it more and write up a blog. I can send you stuff I find out if you like.
